For Odor Control and Side Leakage

Postby gcccode3 » Mon Aug 08, 2011 12:55 pm

I need to know which fitted brief with tape tabs would I need for odor control and side leakage. I have those problems when I sleep or lay in bed. I am using Tranqulity ATN, but is there a better brief out there for side leakage and odor control?

Tranquility also makes Premium Overnight Disposable Absorbent Underwear. It also offers the Peach Mat like the ATN but in addition it has a full-rise waist panel which provides a more proportioned fit. Also, it has tear-away side seams that allow for easy removal and inner leg cuffs for leakage protection.

If you are willing to look at another brand altogether you could also try Attend Briefs Home Health Care.
It offers superior acquisition speed (leakage control) and skin dryness (wellness). The main difference between Tranquilty ATN and Attends Home Health Care is the 3 tabs on each side of the Attends as opposed to Tranqulity ATN which only has two tabs on each side. You may find the extra tabs will provide a better fit and overall leakage protection.

Dignity makes an Odor Eliminator Spray with just a few sprays at the source eliminates unpleasant body waste odors. It's odorless and easy to use and perfect for eliminating unpleasant odors

Im not sure if you have fecal or urinary incontinence as I would recommend something different for either.

I have fecal incontinence and find as long as I wear the right size brief and wear a snug diaper cover I will have no leaks at night. Odor control for fecal incontinence is not control by the type of diaper but can be managed through proper foods and through the use of carbon pills. Urinary incontinence is probably harder to control for side leakage and I would recommend a thicker diaper like dry 24-7s for night time use.

I have tried the spray the user "Dignity" recommends and it didn't work for me... but I may have been applying it wrong. Do you spray before or after an accident and is it safe for contact with skin? Does it work for fecal matter?

I am not incontinent but I been using briefs to help me relief anxiety and today on my way home from work I stopped and put one on and I voided all the way through the brief in my car while driving. I have to push it out sometimes. I leaked through to my pants and I was saturated in urine and ever since doing that I have voided and voided and voided. I am wearing another brief and I almost have it as full as my last brief in a small amount of time. Any suggestions? I cant pee while laying down or standing up. I have to lay back, sit up or bend at my knees. I think I have major stress incontinence.
