How has incontinence changed your relationship with your spouse or partner?

I've been married twice. First time for 5 years. Presently the last 35 years.
Both times I described my incontinence to them prior to marriage.
I told them to think of my incontinence as a faucet that drips but there is no washer that can stop it.
I had irrepairable nerve damage after a tumor was removed from the base of my spine when I was 7 years old.

Although incontinence may cause problems but that doesn't mean that we have to get embarrassed about it. One of the best ways to fight this problem is positive attitude. There are few things to be taken care of. In diet one should try to take fibrous material more. This can help to control the incontinence.

I agree, we need to be upfront with our partners and have open dialogue. After talking with my husband, he had heard of doing kegel exercies to help with stress incontinence. Not only did my husband offer some great solutions but it made me feel so much better to have everything out in the open and to have his support. :D

Until recently I never realized that there are people out there who never get out of diapers or end up back in them. I have been talking to a gentleman on a dating site who has lived with this as the norm all his life. We seem to get along very well and he trusted me with his "secret". I know i'm about to be flooded with information but what I need to know is: The only thing that really makes him different is how to deal with changing diapers in public? Do you use the handicapped stall in the womens bathroom?
If there is no bathroom available? (nature trails). That's my only true issue, He works from home and only "visits" the job site. I'm sure as we get to know each other we'll tackle this issue. Other than that I would really like to get to know this man much better.
Thank you!!!
