I am 38 years old and dealing with both. I have finally learned to just accept it and deal with it. There are times where it is still hard. When I go out, I try to pack extra supplies so that I don't get some where and need to change and not have any.

Do you have to research before you go out to make sure that you will have bathrooms accessible and when? I still can't believe how many establishments you go into that say no public restrooms or the restrooms are located in such inconvenient places. Again, back to the bathroom conversation. I don't think most establishments take people with incontinence or children into mind when they are buidling and figuring out where and how often to put bathrooms. I think most of us would prefer for more bathrooms to be available, even if they had to be smaller.

Yes I agree that they should have more bathrooms available and ones that someone with incontince can change their diapers without having everyone running in and out. I try to make sure that I am prepared as best as I can. I have found a couple of ways to make it longer between changes. I will use a baby diaper inside of mine or use an old sheet or towel and that usually helps. I have only had one expeirence where that didn't work so well. I was at a graduation when I had a bad accident. I was out of my good diapers and was using the depend, and it ended up leaking out the back of the diaper and didn't contain the smell. The people behind me ended up getting up and leaving, as I went out to my car I could hear people laughing and commenting on my not so pleasant experience. I had made it so that my SUV I could put up blankets around the back and changed back there. Sometimes you have to get creative.

Shame on those people laughing. It's very disheartning that so many people are not empathatic until it happens to them. Despite what problems I may or may not have I always try to be sympathetic to anyone's situation. Humanity is not when something is convenient and easy but rather when it's difficult and most inconvenient and something we may not even understand.

We ran into a problem last week while on vacation. A very large man broke his chair on our airplane on our return flight home. Everyone was so upset with this poor man because our plane was delayed 3 hours and most everyone missed their connecting flights. My family with children in tow was 9 hours late in getting home on a school night. However, it was a blessing to teach my children a lesson on humanity and grace. Have a wonderful day!

Yes it very sad that people are the way they are. Its good to know that there are still people out there who care and have those beliefs. That day it happend I just wanted to crawl into a hole and never come back out, not only did that happen but I also missed the graduation. My very close friend who was the one graduating knows of my problem and was very understanding and felt bad for what happend. I hope you have a great day as well.

I have lost all faith in doctors as they have no real idea what is wrong with me they call it IBS. And that means they have no idea. I have constipation that is very painful and presses against my bladder causing loss of all bladder control. Then it shifts into diarrhea and loose stool that can not be controled.
