Women are much more likely than men to experience urinary incontinence. In fact, incontinence can cause monthly on-the-job, performance-related issues for more than one-third of women in the U.S. work-force. According to a University of Michigan study, women who indicated that incontinence had a negative effect on their work stated their ability to complete tasks without interruption (34 percent) and their self-confidence (28 percent) were affected significantly.
