Functional Urinary Incontinence

I had a car accident one year ago next month in which my bladder was avulsed (severed) from bladder neck down, so I had no urethra. They had to wait months to do the first bladder reconstruction, and the last one was done March 21st, 2010 with no improvement in the incontinence. Although I had to be extricated from the vehicle whilst "spread-eagle" and essentially "split down the middle" all the way to the rectum, I had no bowel incontinence, so that is one plus. I am awaiting a 3rd bladder surgery (13th surgery overall since accident) in August, because my family is going on a much needed trip in one month.

Like you I have a functional problem with my bladder where I have very little retention, it bridges between stress and urge, I tend to leak with the slightest movement.
I have Had this for many years And so am fairly used to it now.
I have had a recent op to try and improve my condition but it improved very little. I manage it now well giving me a high degree of confidence.

Most of my life I have been a bed wetter due to under size bladder, so it's been a long road of diapers, plastic pants, and being babied. five years ago, i had bladder cancer, in which it was removed. now i have a ostomy, in whih still causes problems, so I'm in diapers 24/7, it has caused a lifetime of problem. Wife leaving, the stima of diapers. But i have managed to hold up and handle the problem. other people are aware of my problem, and have no trouble with it. The ladys even insist on helping out when they can
